Visitors to our websites

When someone visits the Tytek website we use the industry standard analytics reporting system, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We use Google Analytics to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify the user.  We also use Lead Forensics which gathers company data and visit information such as pages visited and duration but does not identify individual visitors.

Cookies

Important notice for users – Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics cookies and session cookies. These are small files of data that collect information about how visitors use our site, for instance which pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from web pages.

These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a visitor. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. The information is only used to improve the responsiveness of our website when you visit.

Search engine

Search queries and results are logged anonymously to help us improve our website and search functionality. No user-specific data is collected by either Tytek. or any third party.

E-newsletter and Email Marketing

We use a third-party provider, Campaign Monitor, to deliver our e-newsletters. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. You will have received a double-opt-in message from us, so please take time to opt-in if you wish to continue receiving communications from us.

Where you receive a marketing email we may collect information about to determine whether you have visited our site and which sections you have viewed to enable use to make our communications more relevant for you.

If you do not want us to collect information as to whether you have visited our site from email communications, you will need to unsubscribe. We will automatically log this information in our records, and your preference will be maintained on a ‘marketing suppression list’.

Website security and performance

Tytek uses a third-party service to help maintain the security and performance of the Tytek website. To deliver this service it processes the IP addresses of visitors.

WordPress

We use a third-party service, WordPress.com, to publish our websites. These sites are hosted at Heart Internet. WordPress.com, is run by Automatic Inc. We use a standard WordPress service to collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the site, for example the number of users viewing pages on the site, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site and help us improve it. People who contact us via social media

If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by the social media provider, it will not be shared with any other organizations. Please refer to their Privacy and Cookie Policy for more information.

If you email us

We use Secure Sockets Layer Security (SSL) to encrypt and protect email traffic. If your email service does not support SSL, you should be aware that any emails we send or receive may not be protected in transit.

We will also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.
